Popular actress and social activist Rafiat Rashid Mithila has added a new achievement to her life. She announced in a Facebook status at midnight on Monday (August 25) that she has successfully defended her PhD thesis from the University of Geneva in Switzerland.
Mithila wrote in the status- “It is with great emotion and pride that I announce that I have successfully defended my PhD thesis at the University of Geneva! This moment marks the end of a five-year journey in my life, which was full of experiences mixed with joy and sorrow.”
The actress further wrote, “For me, taking the ‘path less traveled’ meant taking on this challenge-where I had to juggle a full-time professional life, occasional acting work, and extensive family responsibilities on the one hand, while pursuing this degree on the other. This experience taught me the ultimate lesson in resilience, and how much I could really handle.”
Then, expressing gratitude to her family and loved ones, Mithila wrote, “I am deeply grateful to my family, friends, and colleagues, whose unwavering support has sustained me on this journey. From today, I can proudly add the title ‘Dr.’ to my name-a title I have earned through relentless hard work.”
