UNB, Dhaka :
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir held a closed-door meeting today with Canadian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dr Lilly Nicholls.
The meeting started at the BNP chairperson’s political office in Dhaka’s Gulshan around 1 pm, BNP media cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan said.
He said BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Organising Secretary Shama Obaed, and Canadian High Commission official Bradley Coates also attended the meeting.
BNP sources said issues relating to Bangladesh’s next national election, the current political situation, human rights, and matters of mutual interest were likely to come up for discussion in the meeting.
