Miraz takes 2nd spot in ICC Test all-rounder ranking

Prolific all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz has taken 2nd spot in the latest ICC Test all-rounder ranking, which is revealed by International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday.

The right-arm batter and right-arm off spinner Miraz achieved 327 rating points to take second position.

Mehedi Hasan Miraz performed extremely well in the recently concluded two-match Test series against Zimbabwe recently.

The first Test match between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh was held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from April 20 to April 23.

Miraz captured five wickets in the space of 52 runs in the first innings and claimed five wickets at the cost of 50 runs.

Miraz shone with the cherry and also shone with the willow in the second Test between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram from April 28 to April 30.

The right-arm spinner grabbed five wickets instead of 32 runs in the second innings.

Miraz notched up a marvelous 104 runs in the first innings. His all-round performance powered Bangladesh to earn an innings and 106 runs defeat against Zimbabwe in the second Test.

Miraz was adjudged the Man of the Match for his all-round performance. He was also adjudged the Player of the Series for his outstanding performance.

Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja of India has taken the top position with 400 rating points.
Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam of Bangladesh has taken the 16th position as a bowler of latest ICC Test ranking.

Promising Nayeem Hasan of Bangladesh has taken the 54th spot as a bowler in Test cricket, according to the latest ICC ranking.
