Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz was thrilled to receive his first ‘Man of the Series’ award in an away series for his stellar performance in the Pakistan series, stating he ‘will never forget this moment.’
“I’m really happy, first time I have got a Man of the Series award away from home.
I will never forget this moment,” Miraz said after Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by six wickets in the second Test in Rawalpindi today. Miraz played a crucial role in both the Tests in the two-match series to help Bangladesh overcome tough situations and seal their maiden series win over Pakistan. Miraz scored 78 runs and then took a fifer (5-64) in the first innings of the second Test.
He also displayed all-round brilliance in the first Test, scoring 77 runs and forming a record 196-run partnership with Litton and then taking four wickets in the second innings to set propel Bangladesh to clinch a 10-wicket win. “It is a tough job playing as an all-rounder, but I just wanted to rotate strike and enjoy batting with Mushfiqur [Rahim] and

“I didn’t play the T20 World Cup, I had some time back home and credit goes to the management back home and the efforts they have put in. The team is very happy with my performance, they keep supporting me. This is one of the most happiest moments for me,” he added.
