The National Film Awards 2021 were announced recently. Mir Sabbir was awarded as the Best Actor of 2021 for his performance in movie ‘Raat Jaga Phool.’ The
government granted movie ‘Raat Jaga Phool’ was directed by actor Mir Sabbir himself. Its story, dialogues, screenplay and lyrics are also written
by Mir Sabbir. It was released as the last movie of 2021. The song titled ‘Raat Jaga Phool Fonte’
rendered by Momtaz in this movie also got a good response from the audience. Meanwhile, Mir Sabbir is constantly busy with shooting. This time
a special drama titled ‘Aladin,’ which story was written by Mir Sabbir,
has been directed by
Mir Sabbir-Amirul Islam Arun. Deepa Khandaker, Farzana Chumki and many others acted
in this drama.
While talking about story of drama ‘Aladin,’ Mir Sabbir informed that after 100 years, Aladin came to Bangladesh with Cherag (lamp) from Australia. After coming here, he meets a kid. The kid demands to Aladin that the school grounds
of Bangladesh should be provided with playgrounds, traffic jams should be kept and
the load of school bags should be reduced. But Aladin can’t do these. Aladin talks to teachers
of different schools,
parents of students and politicians. Aladin realises that it will take him a long time to do these. But more than that, the people of Bangladesh need
to change themselves.
Mir Sabbir told this correspondent, “I want to give a beautiful message through the content of this drama. And that is we have to change ourselves. But when we go inside the cantonment we follow all the laws and regulations. So, why don’t we follow the law? Why are shops sitting on the footpath, why is it difficult for us to walk? Why we don’t obey traffic laws. It is time for us to change ourselves. If we don’t change ourselves the coming days will be more difficult for us.”
Deepa Khandaker said, “I like plot of the drama ‘Aladin.’ That’s why I like acting in this drama. I have worked in drama under the direction of Mir Sabbir before this. Sabbir always makes drama with great care. He was more serious about making this drama.
I hope that the drama will play a more special role in making the people of the society aware. Soon the drama will be aired
on a satellite channel.”
