A man has been arrested over the rape of a 10-year-old child inside the capital’s Baridhara diplomatic zone in Gulshan.
The incident took place on Sunday morning, prompting Gulshan police to arrest the accused Sajal Hossain Palash, 40.
Police on Monday arrested a man for allegedly raping a 10-year-old in the Gulshan-Baridhara diplomatic area of the capital.
Gulshan Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Nayeem Uddin Sujan said the accused, Sajal Hossain Palash, 40, raped the child after finding her alone at home at around 11:30pm yesterday (9 March).
“When the child told her mother about the matter, her mother consulted her relatives and came to Gulshan Police Station to file a case against the accused,” he added.

The child is currently undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s One Stop Crisis Centre, said SI Nayeem.
