Mim awaits new film

Although she is a film actress, Bidya Sinha Mim is also a popular model. She serves as the brand ambassador for some of the country’s top companies.

It is often said that among all the celebrities in Bangladesh, Mim represents the highest number of brands. Every month, she stays busy shooting new commercials for different products.

In early November, she is scheduled to travel to the Maldives for a new advertisement for Berger. Upon her return, news of her next film might be announced.

Mim last appeared on the big screen in ‘Poran’, directed by Raihan Rafi, which was released during Eid-ul-Azha in 2022.

Since then, she has acted in ‘Damal’ by the same director and ‘Antarjal’ by Dipankar Dipon, but none have matched the impact of ‘Poran’.

Mim said, “If I wanted, I could have done 10 to 15 films after ‘Poran’. But they wouldn’t have been of the same quality. I’m waiting for good projects.”

Mim believes it’s better not to act in any film than to do a dozen substandard ones in a year. In her words, “It’s not like I’ll do a film just because someone offers it to me.

It’s better not to act than to work in low-quality films. There’s no point in disappointing the audience’s expectations.”

In recent months, Mim has read scripts for nearly half a dozen films, most of which she liked. She is currently in talks with several directors, and an exciting announcement from the actress is expected soon.
