The International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) successfully organised the 2nd Sustainability Olympiad 2025, aimed at fostering environmental awareness among students and the academic community. The event was jointly hosted by the Department of Environmental Science, the Institute of Sustainable Sciences (IISS), RCE Greater Dhaka and the Knowledge Based Area Development (KBAD) program of IUBAT.
The Olympiad witnessed the participation of nearly 240 students from 25 colleges across the country, making it a vibrant platform for sharing ideas and solutions on sustainability. The program took place today at 2:20 PM in Room 227 of IUBAT campus.
The event was graced by Dr. Susan Vize, UNESCO Representative to Bangladesh and Head of Office, as the Chief Guest, while Prof. Dr. Abdur Rab, Vice-Chancellor of IUBAT, presided over the session. Distinguished guests included Dr. Mohammed Moniruzzaman Khan, Director, Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies, University of Dhaka, and Dulon Joseph Gomes, Director of Humanitarian Emergency Affairs and Climate Change Adaptation at World Vision Bangladesh.
