Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) on Tuesday predicted the ongoing mild heat wave may abate at some places in the country, in the next 24 hours commencing 9am yesterday.
“Mild heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna and Sylhet divisions and the districts of Chattogram, Chandpur, Cumilla, Noakhali, Feni and Bhola and it may abate,” said a Met office bulletin, reports BSS.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country,” it added.
