Mercantile Bank PLC organized ‘Risk Conference 2025’ Saturday at the bank’s head office in the capital.
Md Sirajul Islam, executive director, Bangladesh Bank, inaugurated the conference as the chief guest.
Md Anwarul Haq, chairman of the board, and Mohammad Abdul Awal, chairman of risk management committee, spoke in the conference as guest of honor,said to a press release.
Mati Ul Hasan, managing director of the bank, & ANM Moinul Kabir, director (DOS) of Bangladesh Bank, were special guests.
MA Khan Belal, chairman, executive committee; Prof Md Rezaul Kabir, chairman of audit committee, ASM Feroz Alam & M Amanullah, directors, and Mohammad Thoufiqul Islam, independent director of the bank, were also present at the meeting.
Surabhi Ghosh, additional director, and Mst. Nazmin Nahar, joint director from (DOS) of Bangladesh Bank, conducted session as resource persons.
Md Zakir Hossain, DMD & CRO (acting) of the bank delivered the welcome speech, and Shamim Ahmed, EVP & DCRO gave the vote of thanks.

All head of divisions, departments, units and principal of MBTI, head of regional offices, all head of branches, manager operations & credit in-charge of the branches, all in-charge of sub branches, all officials of risk management division of MBPLC attended the conference virtually.
