Members of Bangladesh National Cricket squad left the city on Monday for Pakistan to take part in the two-match Test series against Pakistan National Cricket team. A total of 13 members including eight cricketers flew for Pakistan. A total of five coaching staff also left the capital. The cricketers are: Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Litton Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Shoriful Islam, Nahid Rana and Khaled Ahmed. Taskin Ahmed will play the second Test.
Earlier, they were scheduled to reach Pakistan on August 17.
It may be mentioned that Mushfiqur Rahim, Mominul Haque, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Zakir Hasan, Nayeem Hasan, Hasan Mahmud and Shadman Islam left the city on August 9 to play the first four-day match for Bangladesh ‘A’ Cricket team against Pakistan ‘A’ Cricket team from August 13 to August 16. Besides, Shakib Al Hasan will join the Bangladesh National Cricket squad from Canada soon.
The first Test cricket match between Bangladesh National Cricket team and Pakistan National Cricket team will be held at Rawalpindi from August 21 to August 25. The second Test cricket match between The Tigers and the Pakistan National Cricket team will take place in Karachi from August 30 to September 3.
It is noteworthy that the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Sunday last the 16-member Bangladesh National Cricket squad for the two-match Test series against Pakistan National Cricket squad.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on August 7 the 17-member Pakistan Cricket squad for two-match Test series against Bangladesh National Cricket squad.
Pakistan National Cricket squad: Shan Masood (Captain), Saud Shakil, Aamir Jamal (subject to fitness), Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, Khurram Shahzad, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Huraira, Mohammad Rizwan, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
