Mehazabien Chowdhury made her big screen debut last year with the movie ‘Priyo Maloti’. However, Mehazabien’s first movie to star in the film is ‘Saba’.
After being screened at various film festivals, this movie is finally coming to the country’s audience.
Yesterday, Mehjabeen said on social media that ‘Saba’ will soon be released in theaters across the country. The movie is directed by Maksud Hossain.
Producer Maksud Hossain said that ‘Saba’ is ready for release in the country’s theatres. The release date will be announced soon. It is learned that the producer is planning to release it in late September or early October.
In the story of the movie ‘Saba’, we will see Saba, the child of a middle-class family in the city. Her father has passed away. Her mother Shirin is injured in a road accident and is bedridden. She can’t walk without a wheelchair.
Her daughter Saba is the only support for survival. Saba has not been able to organise her career while serving her family and mother.
Due to financial difficulties, she tries to get her mother back to health day and night. Saba’s mother Shirin suddenly has a heart attack.
The doctor says that she needs to have an operation. The sky seems to be falling on Saba’s distraught head. How will she save her mother?
‘Saba’ was premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in September last year. It was then screened at about a dozen film festivals, including Busan, Red Sea, Gothenburg, Sydney, and Raindance.
Apart from Mehazabien, it also stars Mostafa Manwar, Rokeya Prachi, and others.
