Manarat Dhaka International School and College (MDIC) organised a three-day Robotics Bootcamp aiming to enhance students’ practical understanding of robotics and modern technology.
The event was graced by Professor Dr. MozammelHuq, Convener of the Academic Committee, Manarat Trust, and Professor at Dhaka University, who attended as the Chief Guest.
Brigadier General S. M. Mahbub-Ul-Alam, OSP, SGP, ndc, psc (Retd), Principal of MDIC, presided over the event, while Professor TahminaYeasmeen and Mr. AnuarulKabir, Vice Principals of MDIC, were also present, says a MDIC press release.
The Manarat Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Club (MRAIC) hosted the bootcamp under the guidance of Mr. ShariatUllahAkanda (In-Charge, Boys’ Section) and Ms. ZamuratParveen (In-Charge, Girls’ Section).
Trainers from the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) conducted the sessions, providing hands-on instruction on design, control, and programming of robotic systems.
Students from Grade 7 to A2 took part in the program, forming 19 teams, each consisting of five members.
Participants successfully designed and built remote-controlled cars, marking a historic first in MDIC’s journey toward robotics education.
The event also highlighted the dedicated efforts of MRAIC club members, who played a key role in organizing logistics, assisting trainers, and coordinating with participants throughout the sessions.
Their teamwork and leadership significantly contributed to the smooth execution and success of the bootcamp.
Principal Brig. Gen. Mahbub-Ul-Alam commended the young participants and club members for their dedication, creativity, and enthusiasm, emphasizing the importance of developing technical competence in the modern world.
Chief Guest Professor Dr. MozammelHuq appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to continue exploring robotics and artificial intelligence to shape their future careers.
The Robotics Bootcamp at MDIC demonstrated how engaging, hands-on learning experiences – supported by active student leadership and collaboration – can inspire young minds to think creatively and embrace technological innovation with confidence.
