Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) AHM Khairuzzaman Liton wants to strengthen Rajshahi’s football competitions. He wants to organize ‘Mayor Cup’ football tournament in July this year.
‘Currently, I am serving as the mayor of Rajshahi for the third time. Since 2008, the Councilor organized the Gold Cup tournament in charge of the first phase.
Three consecutive tournaments were held in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Which was also very popular.’ he said.
Liton said, The plan was to regularly organize a football or cricket tournament called the Mayor’s Cup.
