The nation May day was observed on Thursday across Bangladesh and around the world, honoring the struggles and sacrifices of workers and emphasizing the importantance of unity between labourers and employers.
This year’s theme : Workers and Owners United ; let’s rebuild this country anew “, Calls for collaborative efforts in nation building.
District Administration of Kishoreganj, many political parties, socio-cultural organizations, professional bodies, human rights organizations and trade unions have observed the Day with a fresh vow to emancipate workers from the yoke of inhuman exploitation and reduce work-day to eight hours.
On this occasion, the district administration including Department of labourer and Inspection for Factories and Establishments arranged a colour full rally followed by a discussion meeting marking the day.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Fouzia Khan attended as chief guest.
Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) brings out a red flag procession in the town led by district president comrade Abdur Rahman, Syed Nazrul Islam.
Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal arranged a discussion and a colour full rally brought out in the town marking the day.
Bangladesh Jamaat -e-Islami arranged a discussion meeting, with district Ameer Professor Md. Ramjan Ali in the chair.
