“In a decisive step to accelerate the “Typhoid Vaccination Campaign 2025,” influential stakeholders convened for an advocacy meeting in Kishoreganj at local collectorate conference room on Monday.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) , also Joint Secretary of Kishoreganj, Fouzia Khan attended as chief guest, while Civil Surgeon (CS) dr.Ovijeet Sarmah in the chair.
The nationwide one-dose Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine (TCV) campaign will begin in 13 Upazilas, 8 Municipalities of Kishoreganj on 12 October, targeting all children aged 9 months to 15 years.
From October 12 to November 13, approximately 9 lakh 288 children will receive free vaccinations across in the district, CS dr. Ovijeet Sharma said.
In the first phase (12-31 October), students will be vaccinated at their respective educational institutions. In the second phase (1-13 November), children outside of schools and those in marginalised communities will receive vaccines at temporary centres.
Vaccines will also be available at ward offices, excluding Fridays and public holidays, throughout the duration of the campaign.
Parents must register their children online using the 17-digit birth registration number to download vaccination cards.
If your child does not have an online birth registration, please visit your local ward office as soon as possible to register and ensure your child is eligible for vaccination.
Among others, Additional SP Mukit Sarkar as special guest, ADC (General) Mizabe Rahmat , Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation,Md.Mohashin, DPEO Mujib Alam, DEO, and others dignified officials were also present.
