A devastating fire broke out at Adams Caps & Textiles Ltd located in Chattogram Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) area today.
The fire started around 2 pm today in the nine-storey building where approximately five hundred workers are employed. Alamgir Hossain, Deputy Assistant Director of Agrabad Fire Service and Civil Defense, informed BSS that fire fighting units rushed to the spot after receiving the news. More than 15 fire service units are currently on site and working to contain the blaze of fire.
The cause of the fire and any extent of damage and casualties are still under investigation, he said.
