With the slogan “Building a Just Society through the July Renaissance,” a mass oath-taking event was held in Joypurhat on Saturday morning. The program began at 9:30 AM at the District Shilpakala Academy auditorium.
Deputy Commissioner Afroza Akter Chowdhury presided over the event. Among others who spoke were Additional Deputy Commissioner Sabur Ali, Additional Superintendent of Police Jinnat Al Mamun, District BNP Convener Golzar Hossain, NCP Joint Coordinator Omar Ali Babu, District Women Affairs Officer Lainar Nahar, and Superintendent of Joypurhat General Hospital Sardar Rashed Mobarak.
Jisan Ahmed, representing the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, also addressed the gathering. The event saw participation from government and non-government officials, students, and teachers from various institutions.
Representatives from the Ministry of Social Welfare joined virtually and emphasized the significance of the July Renaissance and the formation of a fair society. A highlight of the event was the unified oath taken by attendees.
In the second part of the program, a stage drama was performed to raise awareness against corruption.
