Identified as 18-year-old Omar Faruk, police said, he had been scolded by his family the day before for not helping with his father’s business, reports bdnews24.com.

On Sunday, Dhanmondi Police Inspector (Investigation) Abdul Alim said: “Upon receiving the information, we recovered the body from the lake. We did not find any wounds on the body.”
The dead hailed from Boubazar Tannery Mor in the capital’s Hazaribagh. He quit school after the fourth grade.

Officer Alim mentioned that the youth also had some friends of his age in the area.
The teenager’s father, Abdul Kuddus Molla, is a fish merchant.

Alim said, “His mother had chided him on Friday for not helping his father with the business. After that, he left the house.”
