A court here of Wednesday convicted a man and sentenced him to life term imprisonment for killing his younger brother on October 24, 2011.
The convicted was identified as Majibur Rahman, 40, son of Aftab Uddin, a resident of Natmorichai village in Shibganj upazila.
The court also fined him Tk10,000, in default, to suffer six months more imprisonment.
According to the prosecution, Matiar Rahman, 38, was stabbed to death by his younger brother Matiar over a family feud at the village on October 24, 2011.
Sahar Banu, deceased’s wife, filed a case with Shibganj Police Station against Majibur.
After examining all records and witnesses, Judge Mohammad Hafizur Rahman of Additional District and Sessions Judge’S Court-3 passed the order.
