Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated Sheikh Hasina on her re-election as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for a fourth consecutive term.
“On behalf of the Government and the people of Malaysia, I extend my heartiest congratulations to you on being sworn in for a fourth term as the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh,” he said in a message sent to Hasina.
“In your tenure as Prime Minister, you have remarkably steered your country through more than a decade of robust economic growth, ensuring that Bangladesh emerged as one of the success stories of Asia,” he said, adding,”I am confident that you will lead Bangladesh towards even greater achievements of Smart Bangladesh 2041,” he said.
Malaysia values the warm and cordial relations with Bangladesh, said Ibrahim
“The close ties between our two countries, bound by our commonalities and shared values, have greatly benefitted our people,” he said.
The Malaysian premier said he looks forward to working closely with Sheikh Hasina to further strengthen this close cooperation.
“Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration,” he concluded.
