A Barishal court acquitted BNP Standing Committee member Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed from the case filed under the Digital Security Act (DSA). Another accused acquitted in the case is Babul Biswas of Kadirabad area of Lalmohan Upazila of Bhola.
Barishal Cyber Tribunal Judge (District and Sessions Judge) Ghulam Farooq exonerated him from the case on Monday (November 18).
Nazmul Hasan, bench clerk of the court, said Faridul Haque, informed Chairman of Badarpur UP of Lalmohan Upazila and President of Badarpur (South) Union Awami League, filed the Digital Security Act case against 7 people by name including Major (retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed and five unnamed accused at Lalmohan police station.
