Maisha comes from USA to fulfil her dream of singing song
Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Maisha Ahmed Shanta is a singer with a sweet voice. She lives in USA with her husband and children. Her dream was to become a singer since
childhood. That’s why she once got primary lesson in music from Bani Kumar Chowdhury of Chattogram. Later, Maisha learned music from him, and not from anyone else. Aiming to fulfil her dream as a singer in the world of music, Maisha participated in the reality show titled ‘Close Up 1 – Tomakei Khuunjchhe Bangladesh’ on NTV. She was among the top 30.
Even if she could not move forward, Maisha did not break down. That is why she is from far away America in the hope of getting a proper platform again in 2023’s ‘Shera Kontho’ competition on Channel i.
In America, she rendered two songs titled ‘Aamar Dui Chokhe Dui Nodi’ and patriotic song ‘Sanjher Bela’ to participate in this competition.
After that Maisha came to the country and participated in the camp round. In this round, she performed two songs titled ‘Oi Jhinuk Phonta Sagor Belay’ and ‘Jejon Premer Bhab Janena’.
In the next rounds, she performed the songs ‘Somoy Jeno Katena’, ‘Ei Mon Tomake Dilam’ and ‘Ekbar Jete De Na Aamar Chhotto Sonar Gaye’ one by one. Special Judge of ‘Shera Kontho’ Runa Laila, and two chief judges – Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya and Samina Chowdhury liked Maisha’s performance.
Maisha was one of the 13 finalists. It’s also something she likes very much.
Maisha’s dream is to be the champion in the final of ‘Shera Kontho’ coming December.
Meanwhile, Maisha’s many dreams revolve around music. While talking in this regard, she told this correspondent, “My mother Farida Yasmin’s dream was that one day I will become a great artiste, so that the music lovers of Bangladesh will know me. My husband’s dream now is that I can go to a better position in music. I have only one dream now, that is, through music, I want to expand my beloved Bangladesh, my Bengali language, and enrich it in USA. I have many thanks and gratitude to respected Runa Laila Madam, Bannya Madam, Samina Madam, Swapan Sir, and all the musicians. Thanks to my dear viewers who voted for me. May Allah fulfill my dream.”
