Mahmudullah Riyad retired from International cricket on Wednesday. Earlier, Riyad retired from Test cricket and International Twenty20 (T20I) cricket. Yesterday the veteran and legend cricketer officially announced that he would retire from One Day International (ODI) cricket.
He gave a post on his Facebook on Wednesday last. He wrote, “All praises only for the Almighty Allah. I have decided to retire from international cricket.
I would like to thank all of my teammates, coaches & specially my fans who have always supported me.
A big thank to my parents, specially my father & most importantly my brother Emdad Ullah who has been there for me constantly since my childhood as my coach & mentor.
And finally thanks to my wife & kids who have been my support system through thick & thin. I know my fans will miss me in red & green jersey.
Not everything comes to an end in a perfect way but I say yes & move forward. PEACE……….. Alhamdulillah.

The 39-year-old legend all-rounder scored 2914 runs playing 50 Test matches. His highest score in Test cricket was 150 (not out) with an average of 33.49. Riyad hit five centuries and 16 half-centuries in Test cricket.
Mahmudullah scored 5689 runs playing 239 ODI matches. His highest score in ODI cricket was 128 (not out) with an average of 36.46. He hit four centuries in his ODI campaign and 32 half-centuries.
Riyad scored 2444 runs playing 141 T20I matches. His highest score in his T20I cricket career was 64 (not out) with an average of 23.50.
Mahmudullah captured 43 wickets in Test cricket. His best bowling figure in Test cricket was 5/51 and his best bowling figure in a match was 8/110.
Riyad claimed 82 wickets in ODI cricket. His best bowling figure in ODI cricket was 3/4.
He grabbed 41 wickets in T20I cricket. His best bowling figure in T20I cricket was 3/10.
