Veteran Bangladeshi cricketer Mahmudullah Riyad has announced his retirement from international cricket.
The 39-year-old confirmed the decision on Wednesday via his verified Facebook account.
He wrote, “Not everything ends perfectly, but say yes and move on. Peace… Alhamdulillah.”
Mahmudullah, having already retired from Test and T20 cricket, has now announced his retirement from ODIs, marking the end of his international cricket career.
On Monday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) released a new list of centrally contracted players, which initially included Mahmudullah’s name.
However, he later withdrew himself from the list, leading to speculation that his international career was coming to an end.
