Madaripur most areas in dark for power disruption in rough weather

Most areas in Sadar, Shibchar, Kalkini, Rajoir, and Dasar upazilas of Madaripur district have been without electricity since Friday night due to fault in power line amid torrential rains, causing suffering to people.
The 4G-network of mobile phone operators has remained suspended since Saturday and the presence of battery-run three-wheelers on roads is also so thin due to the disruption in power supply for the past 42 hours, reports UNB.
Locals said that though the rain and wind started Saturday morning, the power supply has been suspended since Friday night due to fault in supply line.
Admitting the power outages in the district, Rural Electricity Board’s Zonal Manager Mohammad Jonab Ali said power supply is normal in some areas of the district town while other parts and the upazilas have now electricity.
