In a rare and compelling revelation of journalism’s hidden dimensions, senior journalist and Bangla TV Chief News Editor (CNE) M M Badsha has launched his book ‘Nishiddho Shotto’ (Forbidden Truth)—a collection of behind-the-scenes stories from the frontlines of reporting.
Published by Barsha Dupur Publications and unveiled at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair, Nishiddho Shotto offers readers a candid look into the challenges, conflicts, and ethical dilemmas journalists often face—many of which remain untold and confined to private conversations or personal reflections.
The book launch ceremony, held at the Bangla Academy premises, was attended by notable media personalities and dignitaries. Bangla TV Managing Director Syed Samadul Haque, the event’s Chief Guest, highlighted the book’s significance for emerging journalists. “Nishiddho Shotto will offer a unique experience to the new generation, unveiling untold stories from the time of investigation and inquiry,” he said.
The book delves into the ways journalism often comes under pressure from state authorities, socio-political forces, and competing interests. H M Sagar, Assistant Private Secretary to the President, remarked that the book opens new doors of possibility by shedding light on these unseen realities.
