Locals demand justice for killing mother, 3 children

Local people and family members blocked road demanding killing of Nasima Begum, mother of three children residing near Shishu Park area in Bandh Road of the city on Saturday. Her second husband Abul Kalam Azad accused of for that killing.
Nasima’s body was sent to Barishal Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital morgue after being found dead by the Port Police Station. In this incident, the children of the deceased and local residents blocked the road in Shishu Park area of the city on Saturday noon. Later, a group of army personnel dispersed them off the road.
The victim’s son Golam Rabbi said that a week ago, his mother Nasima Begum went to the house of her second husband Abul Kalam Azad in the Muslim Para of Char Kaua Union underSadarUpazila and opposite of Barishal city. On Friday evening, Abul Kalam Azad callingfamily members of Nasima Begumin Barishal told them that Nasima has died. After receiving this news, they went to Charkaua area and brought the dead body brought to Barishal. Later, BarishalBandar Thana police recovering the dead body sent it to BarishalSher E Bangla Medical Hospital morgue.
In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of BarishalBandar Police Station Biplob Kumar Mistry said, “We heard about the death of the victim mysteriously, recovering the dead body sent it to the hospital morgue for autopsy lodging a case of unnatural death.
