Lion Gani Mia Babul elected Kavi Sangsad Bangladesh president

The 11th National Conference of Kavi Sangsad Bangladesh 2025 was held on Friday in the city’s Segunbagicha area.

The conference unanimously formed the 71-member Executive Committee of Kavi Sangsad Bangladesh for the 2025-2027 term.

In the committee, literary enthusiast, columnist, poet and teacher Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul has been elected President of the Central Executive Committee of Kavi Sangsad Bangladesh.

Poet Touhidul Islam Kanak has been elected General Secretary. The conference, chaired by Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam Tamiji, Chairman of the Standing Council of Kavi Sangsad Bangladesh, was attended by more than two hundred poets, writers and artists of the organization from all over the country.

The organisation’s chief advisor, poet Imroz Sohel, outgoing president poet Raju Alim, poet Mostafa Habib, poet and journalist Ashok Dhar, poet Professor Renu Ahmed, poet Atiq Helal, poet Yusuf Reza, poet Sankar Talukder, poet Abdul Haque Chashi, etc.
