Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Thursday predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at many places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am yesterday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office bulletin on Thursday.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it said.
The highest rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am yesterday was recorded 110 millimeters (mm) at Hatia in Chattogram.
Country’s maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 34.5 degrees Celsius at Sayedpur in Rangpur and lowest one on Thursday 22.2 degrees Celsius at Feni in Chattogram.
