Light to moderate rain likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Wednesday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places over the country as of 9 am today. “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna and Barishal divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a BMD press release.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period, the release added.
The maximum temperature in the country was recorded 36.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday in Sylhet and minimum temperature was 25.0 degrees Celsius on Wednesday at Rangamati and Teknaf in Chattogram division.
