The Local Government Division (LGD) organised the local youth participatory idea on the reawakening occasion of the first anniversary of the July Uprising, has drawn a significant response.
Local Government Rural Development (LGRD) and Cooperatives, Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain stated the matter in a post titled ‘Idea Competition Update’ on his verified Facebook Id, reports BSS.
“The local youth participatory idea competition organized by the Local Government Division on the occasion of the first anniversary of the July Uprising has received a huge response,” he mentioned in the post.
A total of 2,223 ideas were submitted to the 61 district councils of the country (excluding the three hill districts) and out of these, 166 ideas have been finally selected for implementation, he said.
The post further stated, “In view of the immense enthusiasm and active participation of the youth, many district councils have decided to implement multiple ideas.”
The authorities concerned are now communicating with the idea generators and the process of implementing with the selected idea is underway at a rapid pace, he added.
