Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio’s new movie is ‘One Battle After Another’. The action thriller movie is directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. The movie will be released internationally on September 26. ‘One Battle After Another’ will be shown at Star Cineplex in Bangladesh from the same day.
Inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vinland, ‘One Battle After Another’ was made by Paul Thomas Anderson.
It is said that he made the film over a long period of 20 years. In the story of the film, members of a former revolutionary group reunite after 16 years to rescue a girl from their group.
Although the work on the film initially began in June 2023, full-scale shooting began on January 22, 2024. The initial title of the film, shot in various locations in America, was ‘The Battle of Buckton Cross’. Later, to avoid some complications, its name was changed to ‘One Battle After Another’. The teaser of the film was released by the distributor Warner Bros. on March 20. After the teaser, there has been a lot of interest from the audience in the film.
The $175 million budget film is being called the most ambitious project of director Anderson’s career.
In an interview with the BBC, DiCaprio called the film a mirror of society. He said, “Anderson always makes great films, but this time he seems to have surpassed himself. This film shows the division and extreme polarisation of our culture. Although the film does not have a specific message, it does portray a kind of influence of extremism.”
