In a bid to curb rising criminal activities ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, law enforcement agencies, along with the upazila administration, conducted a joint exercise and multiple operations in Daganbhuiyan Municipality on Wednesday.
Led by the Army, Daganbhuiyan Police Station, Traffic Police, and the Upazila Administration, the operation focused on preventing incidents of theft and robbery, regulating market prices, and ensuring traffic discipline.

Illegal sidewalk occupiers were removed to ensure smooth pedestrian movement.
Cases were filed and fines were imposed on unregistered vehicles, CNG and battery-run auto-rickshaws parked illegally, and motorcyclists without helmets or valid documents.
Law enforcement teams visited local banks and markets, urging officials and traders to remain vigilant against criminal activities and unethical business practices.
The operation was conducted under the overall coordination of Army Major Shahriar Rahman, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) S.M. Azharul Islam, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shahidul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Daganbhuiyan Police Station Lutfur Rahman, and Traffic Inspector Shahadat Hossain.
