Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Yesmin Labonno’s journey began more than a decade ago as a listed artiste
on Bangladesh Betar.
Since then, she has been singing regularly on the Betar (radio) every year.
She also occasionally presents on the radio.
However, Labonno’s journey as a professional presenter began in 2013
on ATN Bangla.
She has been presenting regularly on Maasranga TV since 2016.
However, she is now presenting on BTV and Global TV.
She is also working as a senior dancer at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
A new original song of Labonno was aired on Betar’s Eid programme this year. She also said that her presentation was broadcast as a programme.
The song titled ‘Smritir Brishtite’ was aired on the Betar on Eid.
The song is written by Shahabuddin Majumdar. The music of the song is composed by Md Ishaq.
Additionally, on the third day of Eid, the special music programme titled ‘Gaane Gaane Adda’ hosted by Labonno was broadcast on Betar at 2:30pm.
Shafi Mondol and Nasrin Akter performed music at this programme.
In 2020, Labonno was listed as a singer on BTV. Gultekin Ahmed and Nuhash Humayun told their life stories in the ‘Ranga Sokal’ programme on Maasranga TV this Eid.
National Film Award-winning singer Dilshad Nahar Kona has been involved in another story in other episode. Meanwhile, Labonno’s birthday was on June 6. On the one hand, she was very happy and on the other hand, she was a little sad because her birthday was right before Eid.
Yesmin Labonno told this correspondent, “I really like the lyrics and melody of the new song that was broadcast on Bangladesh Betar. Moreover, I received a very good response to the programme ‘Gaane Gaane Adda’ that I presented on the radio. I also received a good response by presenting two episodes of Maasranga TV.
And I was a little sad about my birthday. Because most of the people I always hang out with or chat with aren’t in Dhaka because everyone has gone to their village homes for the Eid holidays. The birthday seemed so empty without them. I want to celebrate with everyone when they will return.”
