The most prestigious awards in Bollywood, the Filmfare Awards, are being held for the 70th time this year.
The grand event of ‘Filmfare Awards 2025’ was held October 11 at the AKA Arena in Kankaria Lake, Ahmedabad, India.
The event was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Manish Paul.
Shah Rukh, Kriti Sanon, Kajol and many other stars graced the stage. The biggest win of the entire festival went to ‘Laapataa Ladies’.
The Kiran Rao-directed film won awards in 13 categories alone. These include Best Film, Best Director, Best Dialogue, Best Music, Best Actress (Critics), Best Supporting Actor-Actress and Best Debut Actress, among many other awards.
The Best Actor award was shared by two stars, Abhishek Bachchan (‘I Want to Talk’) and Kartik Aaryan (‘Chandu Champion’). The Best Actress award went to Alia Bhatt (‘Jigra’).

Best Debut Actress: Nitangshi Goel (Laapattaa Ladies)
Best Newcomer: Laksha (Kill)
Best Debut Director: Kunal Khemu (Madgaon Express), Aditya Suhas Jambhale (Article 370)
Critics’ Choice Best Picture: I Want to Talk
Apart from this, the Lifetime Achievement Award went to two legends Zeenat Aman and Shyam Benegal. And the RD Burman Award for Upcoming Talent in Music went to Achint Thakkar. He received the award for the films ‘Jigra’ and ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’.
