KSA invites CA

Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus has received an invitation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to attend the ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII9), scheduled to be held in Riyadh from October 27 to 30 this year.
Saudi Ambassador to Dhaka, Dr Abdullah Zafer bin Abiyah, formally handed over the invitation on behalf of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman during a meeting with the chief adviser at the State Guest House Jamuna on July 27, according to a statement from the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing issued Monday.
This marks the first time a head of government from Bangladesh has been invited to participate in the annual event, which has been held since 2017.
Prof Yunus expressed his gratitude to the Saudi crown prince for the invitation and said he would actively consider attending the summit.
He also thanked the crown prince for accepting the invitation to visit Bangladesh in observance of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, at a mutually agreed time.
