Krishna Rani of Bangladesh scored two goals as her team Transport United blanked Gelefu Academy Under-17 Football team 8-0 in the Bhutan Women’s Football League in Thimpu, the capital city of Bhutan on Monday. It was debutante match of Krishna Rani in Bhutan Women’s Football League.
Krishna Rani scored her first goal in the 63rd minute by a forceful power-packed left-shooter shot.
She scored her second goal in the 78th minute by tapping the ball into the blank net from a hand-shaking distance of the Gelefu Academy goalbar.
After scoring two goals in her debutante match, Krishna Rani said, ” After a long time I am playing a match. I missed some opportunities.
I shall perform well in my next matches. I am glad that I scored twice. The goals boost up my confidence.”
A number of 10 female footballers from Bangladesh are now playing in Bhutan Women’s Football League. Masura Parvin and Rupna Chakma are playing with Krishna Rani. Masura Parvin is a centre-back, while Rupna Chakma is a goalkeeper.
Krishna Rani’s team will play against Ugyen Academy Football Club in their next match on June 7.
