Sheikh Mojahidur Rahman (Chandan) of Kishoreganj, has been re-elected to the Georgia State Senate in the US elections.
He won the District-5 seat of the state of Georgia as a candidate of the Democratic Party in the elections held on Tuesday.

Sheikh Mujahidur of Democratic Party received 70 percent more votes than the rival Republican candidate Lisa Babbage. Earlier, Mojahidur was elected as a senator four times from the same constituency.
The news of his victory has spread joy among the people of Bajitpur in his native Kishoreganj.
Sheikh Mojahidur Rahman Chandan was born in 1955 in Sararchar area in Bajitpur upazila of Kishoreganj. He is the fourth child of late Ex- chief Rail Security Forces, freedom fighter Sheikh Najibur Rahman and mother Syeda Hajera Khatun.
