Kishoreganj municipality has announced to launch 2- month-long dengue awareness-raising programme on Monday.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Kishoreganj, Fouzia Khan formally inaugurated campaign launched at local Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam squre (Param Chattor) on Monday while Deputy Secretary in Local Governmcent (lG),also Kishoreganj Municipality Administrator Muktadirul Ahamed in the chair.
Additional SP(Promoted SP) Mustaque Sarkar, Civil Surgeon (CS) dr.Saiful Islam were attended as special guests.
Kishoreganj’s DC Fouzia Khan urged all ward councillors, officials employees and Citizens concerned to work together for implement the programme before the beginning of breeding season of aedes mosquito to prevent dengue.
DC stated that abandoned polythene, packets of chip and Ice-cream cups, waste green coconut shells, unused vehicle tyres, commodes and other abandoned objecta, whixh are most preferred breeding habitats of aedes mosquitoes.
