Kishoreganj District team and Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) stormed into the final of the BRAC Bank Development Cup Women’s Hockey held at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium in the capital on Friday.
The final of the competition will be held today (Saturday) at the same venue which will start at 2:00pm, following the place-deciding match between Jashore District team and Rajshahi District team which will begin at 9:30am.
In the day’s first semifinal, Kishorganj District team beat Jashore District team 2-1 in the first semi-final while BKSP thrashed Rajshahi District team 12-0 in the second semis.
Organised by Bangladesh Hockey Federation, a total of eleven teams –ten district teams and Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan (BKSP)– split into two groups have participated in the meet.
The participating teams:
Group-A – Dinajpur District team, Jashore District team, Chattogram District team, Patuakhali District team and Rajshai District team.
Group B – BKSP, Jhenaidah District team, Thakurgaon District team, Rangpur District team, Cumilla District team and Kishorganj District team.
