Kings in Group-A of AFC Challenge League

Reigning champions of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football Bashundhara Kings have been billed in Group-A of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge League. The other teams of the Group-A are East Bengal Football Club of India, Nejmeh Sporting Club of Lebanon, Paro Football Club of Bhutan.

The Group-A matches will be held in Bhutan.

The draw ceremony of the AFC Challenge League was held on Thursday at the AFC Headquarters, which was situated at Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia.

A total of 18 teams splitting into five groups will take part in the AFC Challenge League. The teams have been divided into two zones. The one zone is East Zone, and the other zone is West Zone. The first phase of the AFC Challenge League will be held from October 26 to November 2.

The Group-A have been slatted in the West Zone. Three groups are in West Zone, while two groups are in East Zone.
The champions and the runners-up of the West Zone will move into the quarter-finals, while the champions of the East Zone will get tickets of the quarter-finals.
