Bashundhara Kings cruised into the final of the Federation Cup Football defeating Rahmantganj Muslim and Friends Society (MFS) 2-1 in the Second Qualifier match was held at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital on Tuesday.
It was a fifty/fifty affairs.
The first half was ended in a goalless draw.
Solomon King of Rahmatganj MFS put his team ahead in the 75th minute of the play. Solomon King got the ball from a pass of his teammate Nabib Newaj Jibon which came on Solomon’s way under the feet of Bashundhara’s defender Topu Barman.
Rakib Hossain of Bashundhara Kings leveled the margin by tapping the ball which he got from a cross of his teammate Saad Uddin in the 82nd minute of the game.
As the ninety-minute match ended in a 1-1 draw, the game was turned into the extra-time match.
Super substitute Md Insan Hossen of Bashundhara Kings scored the match-winning goal by a spectacular header in the 113th minute of the match. Insan got the ball on his way from a cross of his teammate Rakib Hossain.
Bashundhara Kings will face Dhaka Abahani Limited in the final. Earlier, Bashundhara Kings lost to Dhaka Abahani Limited in the First Qualifier match recently.
