Khurshid Alam and Leenu Billah – both are professional artistes. Both have a long musical career.
Last month, they participated in an event and said that although they are good friends, they have not sung together in their long careers. Both of them really wanted to sing together.
They still cherish that dream. When the news about the desire of the two artists was published, it came to the attention of expatriate lyricist Faruk Anwar. This time, the dream of the two artistes came true due to his initiative.
Khurshid Alam and Leenu Billah sang a song written by Faruk Anwar together. The title of the song is ‘Bondhu O Bhai’. The tune and music were arranged by Samrat Ahmed.
Composer Samrat Ahmed said that after learning about the wishes of Khurshid Alam and Leenu Billah, Faruk Anwar contacted the two artistes through him from Canada.
After consulting with the artistes, he wrote the song titled ‘Bondhu O Bhai’. The lyrics of the song were liked by both artists.
Faruk gave Samrat the responsibility of composing and arranging the song. Once the tune was set, Khurshid Alam and Leenu Billah sang the song. The artists recently shot the video for the song at a resort in Gazipur.
Khurshid Alam said, “I told the journalists what I thought under the guise of a story. When the news about it was published, it came to the attention of Faruk Anwar and in the end, a dream of our two friends came true. Faruk Anwar wrote well, and Samrat also composed well. We are both very happy.”
Leenu Billah said, “This is proof that a song can become true even in the guise of a story. I believe that the song will remain etched in everyone’s minds and will live on among listeners and viewers for a long time.”
