The Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCCI) has elected Khorshed Alam, managing director of Intimate International Ltd (Little Group), as its president, and Jamilur Rahman, managing director of Extol (Bangladesh) Ltd, as secretary general for the 2025-2027 tenure.
A total of 24 members were elected unopposed for the new term, as there were no contesting panels or individual candidates.
The charge-handover and taking over of charge by the newly elected Executive Committee (EC) of Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCCI) was held on Thursday (October 09, 2025) at the BCCCI office in Gulshan, Dhaka.
Earlier on Wednesday, Md Sayed Ali, chairman of the BCCCI Election Board, formally announced the names of the office bearers. The charge handover ceremony of the newly elected Executive Committee (EC) was held on Thursday at the BCCCI office.
The event was attended by most of the newly elected EC members, while the chairman of the Election Board announced the names of the new committee members for the 2025-2027 term.
The biennial election of the BCCCI was conducted by Nargis Murshida, administrator of BCCCI and joint secretary to the Ministry of Commerce.
Nargis Murshida formally handed over the charge of the chamber to the newly elected president Khorshed Alam.
The programme concluded with a prayer for the health and happiness of all honourable members, and for the successful fulfilment of the chamber’s mission and vision with due diligence, transparency, and accountability.
In the charge handover ceremony former Senior Vice President, Vice President and members were also present in the ceremony.
