Capital Drama Releases Khoabnama on YouTube, Starring Tawsif Mahbub and Tanjin Tisha
Capital Drama has released its latest drama, Khoabnama, on its YouTube channel, with Tawsif Mahbub and Tanjin Tisha in the lead roles. Written and directed by Vicky Zahed, the production has drawn strong audience praise since its Thursday premiere. Zahed, known for his work in horror, mystery, and psychological genres, described Khoabnama as a deeply personal project. “Khoabnama is not just a project for me; it is an emotion. Our team, including Tawsif bhai and Tanjin apu, poured their hearts into this,” he said. “What we shot suggests we’re creating something capable of moving audiences. We did our best, and I invite everyone to watch Khoabnama and share their thoughts.”
The anticipation around Khoabnama began even before its release, following the circulation of a poster depicting a corpse in a grave surrounded by snakes. The disturbing imagery sparked online discussions and nostalgia for folk horror stories. A subsequent poster featuring Mahbub and Tisha in a romantic mood added another layer of intrigue.
Tawsif Mahbub, who leads the drama, expressed gratitude for the reception. “I’m receiving significant feedback since its release. The audience’s appreciation for my dedication is a new experience and motivates me to take on bigger challenges,” he said. He also thanked Capital Drama and director Vicky Zahed for their collaboration, noting his co-star’s support throughout the project.
Previously, Mahbub hinted at the risks involved in the production, noting that he rehearsed and performed daring scenes, including lying in a grave at 3 a.m. and handling a live water-snake sequence.
