Khaleda, Tarique’s nomination forms collected

Nomination papers have been collected on behalf of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

Maulana Mansurul Haque, Imam of Baytul Mamun Jame Mosque in Gabtali upazila, collected the nomination paper on Sunday on behalf of Khaleda Zia from Senior Election Officer Fazlul Karim at the Bogura District Senior Election Office.

On the same day at noon, BNP leaders and activists collected the nomination paper on behalf of Tarique Rahman from the Returning Officer and Bogura Deputy Commissioner (DC) Toufiqur Rahman.

During the collection of the nomination paper for former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, the BNP-nominated MP candidate for the Bogura-7 (Gabtali–Shajahanpur) constituency, those present included BNP Chairperson’s Adviser Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu, District BNP Vice-President M R Islam Swadhin, Organising Secretary Zahidul Islam Helal, BNP leader Ujjal, Nihar Sultana Tithi, and leaders and activists from various levels.

Meanwhile, during the collection of the nomination paper for BNP-nominated MP candidate Tarique Rahman for the Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency, those present included District BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha, Chairperson’s Adviser Advocate A K M Mahabubur Rahman, former District BNP President VP Saiful Islam, Acting General Secretary Mosharraf Hossain, City BNP President Hamidul Haque Chowdhury Hiru, Sadar Upazila BNP President Maftun Ahmed Khan Rubel, District Vice-President M R Islam Swadhin, among others.

Meanwhile, BNP National Executive Committee member Abu Taleb collected the nomination paper on Khaleda Zia’s behalf for the Feni-1 constituency (Fulgazi–Parshuram–Chhagalnaiya).

Farid Uddin Khan Nayan, president of the Feni district unit of the Jatiyatabadi Lawyers’ Forum, and secretary Partha Pal Chowdhury were present during collecting the nomination form.
