Dr. Md. Kamrul Huda, the Chief Scientific Officer and Director of the Quality Management Division of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, has been appointed as the Acting Chairman of the Commission through a government notification issued on Thursday.
With a career spanning 33 years, Dr. Kamrul Huda has conducted various theoretical research works on the 3 MW TRIGA Mark-II Research Reactor in Savar, including heat transfer and safety analysis, as well as experimental work for evaluating the quality of shielding materials, says a press release.
In addition, he has been involved in nuclear power plant code design, burn-up analysis, and the determination of safety parameters. Currently, he is actively engaged in the overall activities of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant construction project.
