‘Kajol Rekha’ to release in Eid, no work before: Mondira

Earlier, there was the initial announcement to release the debut movie of present generation’s model, dancer and actress Mondira Chakraborty’s titled ‘Kajol Rekha,’ directed by Gias Uddin Selim,
to be released on Valentine’s Day. But that’s not
happening anymore.
Heroine of ‘Kajol Rekha,’ Mondira Chakraborty told this correspondent that the movie is finally going to be released next Eid. The director of the movie has already confirmed this to her. So for now she has to wait for the release of the movie ‘Kajol Rekha.’
While talking about acting and release of the movie ‘Kajol Rekha,’ Mondira Chakaborty told this correspondent, “I remembered Salim Bhai’s movie ‘Monpura.’ This movie was also released after a long wait. Especially the heroine of the movie Farhana Mili Apu had to wait for a long time. I too am patiently waiting for the release of the movie ‘Kajol Rekha’ with great interest. No, I don’t feel bad about that at all. Rather, I am also waiting to see Kajol Rekha, my other self. Many have already wanted to know when the movie ‘Kajol Rekha’ will be released. For them, I am saying that next Eid, ‘Kajol Rekha’ is coming. I had to put in a lot of effort to develop myself as Kajol Rekha in this movie. The whole unit including Salim Bhai has helped me a lot. All the co-artistes in it have given a lot of inspiration; some have helped me from the side. All in all, my character, Kajol Rekha has become a unique character. I am very optimistic about the movie.”
Mondira also said that until the release of the movie ‘Kajol Rekha,’ she is not doing any other work for now. After the release of the movie, she will focus on new projects. For now, her alliance is waiting for the movie ‘Kajol Rekha.’ Mondira took dance training from Khulna’s dance master M Salim Poplu for nine years since she was only three years old. Later, she came to Dhaka and took dance training from Shibli Muhammad for three consecutive years. Mondira has been working regularly in media since 2012. Daughter of Panna Lal Chakraborty and Shukla Chakraborty, Mondira first acted in a drama titled ‘Protijogita,’ directed by Wahid Anam.
Basically she came into limelight to perform as a model in music video of Kazi Shuvo’s song titled ‘Kolonko,’ directed by Mahin Awlad.
