A new sculpture of Bollywood’s ‘Romance King’ Shah Rukh Khan and his co-star Kajol has been unveiled in London’s Leicester Square.
The sculpture has been installed to mark the 30th anniversary of the longest-running blockbuster film in Indian cinema history, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’.
The sculpture was officially unveiled on Thursday in rainy weather. It joins sculptures from Harry Potter, Paddington and Bridget Jones as part of Leicester Square’s ‘Scenes in the Square’ trail.
Shah Rukh Khan was asked about his own advice for newlyweds during the unveiling of a sculpture in London. Shah Rukh responded with a joke.
Before Shahrukh could answer, actress Kajol joked, “All his films are about pre-marital love, not post-marital love!” Agreeing with Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan said with a smile, “Till now, you were someone I could advise.
But after marriage, you are on your own!” However, Shah Rukh did not forget to give some important advice.
He said, “Till then (before marriage), I think I did the right thing. You should have romance, sing songs.” Kajol immediately added, “And of course, watch DDLJ.”
